The Scottish Highlands

The A82 wound back from Glen Moriston to the shores of Loch Ness and we came to Castle Urquhart. It was once one of Scotland’s largest castles but has experienced considerable conflict throughout its 500 years as a medieval fortress and the tower house is probably the best preserved part.
